From the Desk of
American Workers’ Advocate
Host of the Saturday Variety Program at 11 A.M. & American Workers Radio, 11 A.M. Wednesdays 860 AM Radio WWDB – Philadelphia, PA
As we continue to promote 2014 as the Year of American Made, it is evident that our leaders in Washington, DC, Big Banks, Wall Street and the businesses that left America get their power and profits every time America’s consumers make a purchase. Washington collects taxes, big banks and Wall Street investors receive a return on investments, and the businesses that left America see that offering imported items without a balance of items made in the U.S.A. is accepted by America’s consumers.
Today 80% of imported items represent products invented in the U.S.A. are now made overseas. The supporters of the Buy American Made Campaign are taking action through their purchasing power with the goal of restore a 50/50 balance between imported and American made products. Our supporters also see that America’s employment problems are as a result of national elected leaders not working with private sector industries to insure job growth for the Americans was always their first priority. As a result of poor leaderships,America needs over 40 million full and part-time jobs and we see that national leaders are not doing the job that we are paying them to do.
On February 22, 2014, the U.S. Pentagon ordered that American flags must now be 100% made in America. I would like to add to this mandate. I feel that all items purchased by government and paid for by the taxpayers should be made in the U.S.A. I encourage you to contact your local, state and federal elected officials to approve legislation to have all items paid for by taxpayers, be made in America. This includes items for schools, roads and bridges and thousands more.
Contact your elected officials here. Your participation is very important.
