
Commodore John Barry Room dedicated at IWP’s annual Chancellor’s Council Meeting
On October 22-23, 2019, a group of IWP’s top supporters gathered in Washington, D.C. for a series of events and seminars with IWP faculty, alumni, and students. This Chancellor’s Council Meeting began with a reception on October 22 in which the front classroom in Marlatt Mansion was named in honor of Commodore John Barry, who is known as “The Father of the American Navy.”
At the reception, John and Cynthia Lovewell were honored for their incredible support to IWP. Cynthia Lovewell is a direct descendant of Commodore John Barry’s family. Read more

John Lovewell named Chairman of the Board at IWP
John Lovewell, longtime Vice Chairman of IWP, has been elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Owen Smith, Esq. has been elected Chairman Emeritus after 14 years of leading IWP. Read more

Two IWP alumni receive the most prestigious FBI award
John Russo (’06) and Tim B. (’12) were recently awarded the “Director’s Award for Excellence” in the category “Outstanding Counterintelligence Investigation” by the FBI. This award is the most prestigious FBI award: only one investigation out of more than several thousand is selected each year. Read more
